Baby and the Bath Water
I agree that the decisions made by the old board show a lack of judgment. However, calling them names will not help solve our problems. If you want change, convince others with facts that the old board needs to be replaced and support candidates that promise an open and responsive management. You wrote ''...let's run Bill Gammon out too.'' I did not know that Mr. Gammon held any position of authority with CCHOA. As I understand it, he filed a suit (at his own expense) to prevent the board from reducing your voting rights in violation of the Texas Nonprofit Corporation Act. The judge upheld his claims, forcing the board to give you your full voting rights. By the way, how do you run someone out that is not in? |

Courage and convictions
Dear Anonymous: Do you know the definition of libel? Do you know what libel per se is? Do you know that punitive damages are available to one who prevails in an action brought under Texas law for libel per se? Is that why you do not identify yourself? If you had the courage of your convictions you would not hide your identity as you have. You would stand forth like others whom you malign while you slink about like the coward that you are, publishing your insults and living in constant fear of being discovered. |

Jeff, your letter is proof that the swim team has to go. The swim team is our guest, hopefully for only short time more. I'll only vote for candidates that want to give the pool back to the neighborhood. |
