Concrete at the bottom of the posts or all long the bottom of the fence? (the latter I've never heard of all along the bottom, but it makes sense when you want to keep your dog from digging out under it)

All along the bottom.  For us it would've kept our dogs from digging so much....at least along the fence line.... plus I've heard that it slows the rotting process of the fence.  (We only had cement at the post holes)

Never heard of that, but it makes sense.  I'll consider that, thanks.

(he lives in our neighborhood) did our fence a few years ago and did a very nice job and had very reasonable rates.  He even built us a little fence on the side of the house so our garbage cans are not visible from the street.  I recommend him.
