The 14th Annual Pawtucket Arts Festival presents the "Slater Park Fall Festival" which is a weekend that celebrates the beauty of the park and art - and includes activities throughout the park - at the Daggett Farm, Looff Carousel, the Rhode Island Watercolor Society and the historic Daggett House.
Over 100 arts and craft vendors are showcased in this juried event that features an "open air market" of food trucks, farmers market, craft exhibitions, music and activities throughout the weekend with a special performance by the RI Philharmonic "Pops in the Park" on Saturday at 5:30pm, sponsored in part by the Pawtucket Teachers Alliance. .
Other events include storytellers Len Cabral and Valerie Tutson, Chris Carbone Magic Show, Mac A Doo the clown, the Revolutionary Snake Ensemble, Rock-A-Baby RI, an antique car show (on Saturday), an Irish Festival (on Sunday), Daggett House tours, RI Watercolor Society Gallery, folk dancers (from the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church on Walcott Street), kids tent, face painting and demonstrations by master gardeners at Daggett Farm and Pawtucet-based artists including Ocean Woodturners, origami and makigami by Ben Coleman, zumba by Jennifer Kennedy Entertainment, yoga by Shri Studios and "Living Statues" by students from the Beacon Charter High School for the Arts in Woonsocket. This "pet friendly" festival has something for everyone - including the Slater Park (Pawtucket) Dog Park!
Parking inside the park will be limited - Shuttle buses will be available at the Newport Avenue entrance.
