I beg to Differ

I was the ONLY council member who tried to get you all to have an audit to get the resident's money back.

You wanted to make a deal with Hunt and Cain.

I was the only member who ALL the residents knew on sight. I was asking residents what they wanted and brought it to council.

Who threw out everything I brought to council? Including resoilutions to get things done.

Mark Bartel broke the law.

Why don't you tell the people, whom you represent, that you think all the scamming and taking of their money is alright. I think it is disgraceful.

As I said, cover for whom you will.
I never sucked up to anyone!

Trust

There is a level of trust. The Fiscal Officer reports to Council if she finds that her mailed has been opened. The Mail of the Council is not locked up but it is placed in a location and we are looking into another way to place it in a locked place for Council. That will not change how the mail gets to the location but there has to be trust.

I know that during the last days of the past administration letters and messages from the Auditor were not forwarded to the people that needed to know. The Auditors said that they sent letters and left messages. I am not saying anyone did something with those letters or messages, but Council and the Fiscal Officer never got them.

I would say that any business or small government would have a problem accounting for what arrives in the mail. Packages and letters that need to be signed can be shown who signed for them, but the Post Office does not supply a list of what is delivered and no signature is required.

If it is something so important then I am sure that the party that sent the letter will follow up with it, but that would only be found after the fact. If it is found that someone purposely stole mail than charges would be filed.

Without the Resolution that was passed being in place then the offending party can say there are no rules and no penalties. There are rules and penalties now in place.

Again, since the resolution was passed there have been no problems that I am aware of. If problems are found action will be taken.

But Maybe The Same

Residents should read all of the letters and if anyone would like a copy of it they can email me and I will send an electronic copy to them.

Maybe the residents might have the same view as me or maybe not.

The law is the law and that I agree, but Ms. White it is not black and white and there are the gray areas that are in place that were put there by the Courts and how they ruled on past cases.

To understand the law you must look at all the information and how courts have ruled in the past. The does change from time to time such as when the Supreme Court throws a law out or says that it does not apply in certain situations. One the supreme court rules on a subject that is the law.

I thought one of the planks of your platform when you ran with the others was an audit to be performed. What happened?

As to your resolutions I could not support them if they did not hold responsible EVERYONE that was involved. You wanted to single out individuals when I hold that there were others who were also responsible. I stated then and I state now if the Resolutions were correct (in my opinion) than I would have supported them.

I work for the Village of Valleyview and the residents of this fine Village. I do not think that scamming and taking money is all right and never had, but I have been given no proof that of any of your claims. You claim it is there, but you never wanted to give me the proof. All I have are your claims and no evidence. Without the evidence there is nothing. I will not go on a witch hunt on things that the Auditors looked in too.

I have no reason to suck up to or cover for anyone. If I believe that what someone is doing is bad for the Village I will fight against it. If I believe that something is good for the Village I will support it.
