Sheri
I recently moved from Valleyview. I lived there 35 years.
It doesn't work that way in Valleyview. When something like this happens NO ONE checks anything. Mr. Parrish would not check into something that might harm the people he put into office. He only does it when someone calls him on it.
I uncovered things while on councel. The state auditor and attorney general said that if council would back me they would check into it. They would not act for me alone. I'm sure if Mr. Parrish ''checked'' his information he would find a letter from Betty Montgomery stating this about my request for an audit.
My ''mis-appropriation'' of funds that Parrish spoke about was this: Council had approved marking parking lines at the Village Hall. There were some others needed done that were not on the orignal order. I called the mayor and got the ok. The company was coming the next day. To call a special meeting to approve was stupid. It would have cost more money for the meeting than for the extra cost. At the next council meeting it was approved.
The Ohio Revised Code states that if council approves the expendure, even if after the fact, it is not mis-apropriation.
Once again Mr. Parrish.
