Finally ---some positive news about what may happen at the 5th & Breckenridge site. John Sistarnek informs me that there is a well-respected developer interested in building housing at this location. He will be at the Old Louisville Information Center in the Park for the Planning & Zoning Committee Meeting @ 6:00 p.m., Tuesday April 15th, as I'm sure we're all interested in hearing what this person has to say.

Actually, Jon Huffman was the person from WSCNA that attended the meeting, as he is our representative on Old Louisville's Property Improvement Committee. If you'll get me your e-mail address, I'll be glad to forward the update I received from him. Thanks.

We're all still hoping that something is developed yet on that property at Fifth & Breckenridge Streets. Thank goodness the City has taken this site off its list for locating the displaced Clarksdale housing residents, but I still can't help but think that a nice new Kroger store would have been to our advantage. It feels like being back to square one -- we're left with the same brownfield we started with.
