Now that's not true

I know exactly how we CVELGs circulate petitions and i GUARANTEE that we did not accost ANYONE when they got out of their car. This woman is NOT talking about us !!!

We stand at King Sooper Stores at the door. We approach people as they are leaving the store (not entering) for practical reasons. And we always retain permission from the store.

I'm with most CVELG petition groups, most of the time and I would know if we were doing something like this and WE ARE NOT.

If one of the other people circulating petitions did this I need to know who so I can stop it. (We have more petitions being circulated by non CVELGs than by CVELGs.) Please, BBW, ask this woman to call me and explain when and where this happened. (If you don't already know who I am - I'm listed. If not - ask for my phone # and I will post it) I will find out who she was approached by and get this straightened out NOW !!!

To BBW NW Prkwy

First BBW,

1. The Parkway should no longer be called a parkway. It is now a freeway. In 1997 the City moved the alignment of the Parkway. There were several reasons for moving it but one of the reasons was because it would be a shorter distance of travel and this would save fuel. During the hearing concerned residents were told the parkway would look similar to the Foothills Parkway and the speed limit would be 55. Now the speed limit is 70 mph which is a dramatic difference in noise and exhaust. This NW Freeway is capable of handling 8 lanes of traffic with light rail running down the middle of it. BF is unleashing a monster of a road and this should be a concern for anyone or thing that breathes air.

2. Is the process of the Parkway fair?
Tell me BBW, if DRCOG votes this thing down, will it have any impact on the Authority's decision to move forward?

3. What about the people being notified that studies are currently in progress? The Authority is only notifying those people within a juridiction of 1 1/2 miles from the centerline of the NW Freeway. Those people that currently live there are unannexed rural residents which have no officials representing them on the NW Freeway board. The others within that jurisdiction are annexed farmers just waiting to get this NW Freeway so they can sell their land to big development.

4. The NW Freeway will not relieve all this traffic that you state. In fact exterior roads will worsen because so much emphasis is being placed on all these alleged commuters that will pay $3 to drive on the parkway? I suspect that the reason US287 and US 36 does not even appear on REF A is because CDOT was assured the Parkway would handle all this traffic.

5. If you want to really find out if people will use this NW Freeway then put it to a vote of the people and ask them if they would be willing to pay these tolls.

??? for BBW

I am wondering if the mother and daughter team you are getting your information from could possibly be the same mother and daughter "team" that spoke so highly of Broomfield at the City Council meeting regarding the site for the "J"? They stood up all in a row and complimented Broomfield on how great they were. Then the daughter who obviously did not write her speech, gave "something" to Larry Cooper at the end of the meeting. She also tried to make one of our members aware that "they" knew who he/she was and would try and get he/she in trouble for participating in our effort. Very interesting...and this "threat" from a teenager-pathetic!!!

Could this be your unbiased source? Please...get some new players!!!

Notice To All

I think this post clearly shows that BBW is incapable of answering questions or avoiding the same rhetoric that (s)he has repeated for months. This last message was very clearly meant to deceive those who do not already know much of the truth of the issue. Either BBW is intentionally misleading readers or (s)he is horribly misinformed. Do we want to keep wasting time?
