CRIME REPORT; 04-27-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

At about 6:20 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Bryan stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of Cottonwood for running a red light.  Upon contacting the driver, a 22 year old male, it was found that his driver’s license was suspended.  He was arrested and charged with Driving While License Invalid.

 

At about 12:30 A.M. this morning, Officer Hutchinson stopped a vehicle in the 1300 block of Kirkwood for driving on the wrong side of the road.  Upon contacting the driver, a 26 year old male, it appeared that he was intoxicated.  The subject did perform the field sobriety tests and failed.  He also provided a breath sample that was over the legal limit.  He was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

 

Finally at about 1:35 A.M. this morning, Sgt. Haak stopped a vehicle in the 2600 block of South 14th for driving without headlights.  The driver, a 19 year old female, handed the officer a driver’s license that did not belong to her and tried to use it as ID.  Her real identity was determined and she was arrested and charged with Failure to Identify.

CRIME REPORT; 04-28-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

At about 5:10 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Walker responded to a theft call at a north side establishment.  The reporting party stated they had chased two male subjects who had stolen a 30 pack of beer.  Officer Martin located two subjects matching this description and began to contact them and they ran.  After a short foot pursuit they were caught and taken into custody.  A 22 year old male and a 19 year old male were identified by the witnesses as the subjects who stole the beer.  They were arrested and charged with Theft and Evading Arrest.

 

At about 7:45 P.M. last night, Agents of the Abilene Police Departments Special Operations Division executed a search warrant in the 5200 block of Laguna. Upon execution of this warrant the agents located marijuana and a firearm.  A 39 year old female and a 28 year old male were arrested for Felony Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

 

Finally at about 2:15 A.M. this morning, Officer Valdez observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the dark beside several businesses in the 2700 block of North 2nd.  As he approached the vehicle he observed a person duck down inside the car.  Upon contacting the occupant, a 35 year old male, he appeared to be intoxicated and could not give a good reason for why he was parked in the dark near closed businesses.  The subject gave the officer consent to search and it was found that he was in possession of cocaine.  He was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

At about 5:30 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Valentine responded to a call of a disturbance in the 1700 block of Grape.  Upon arrival, a 27 year old male came running out of the residence.  He was detained and it was found that he had kicked open a door to a residence and assaulted the homeowner with an axe handle.  He was arrested and charged with Burglary with Intent to Commit an Assault.

 

At about 9:30 P.M. last night, Officer Dixon stopped a vehicle in the 1300 block of South 14th for failing to signal a turn.  Upon contacting the driver, a 41 year old male, it was found that his driver’s license was invalid.  He was arrested and charged with Driving While License Invalid.

 

Finally at about 11:25 P.M. last night, Officer Adkins stopped a vehicle in the 1800 block of E.S. 11th in reference to a disturbance call.  The driver, a 31 year old female, appeared to be intoxicated.  She did perform the filed sobriety tests and failed.  She also provided a breath sample that was over the legal limit.  She was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
