CRIME REPORT; 06-3-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Last night at about 5:12 PM Officer William Allred was dispatched to a Criminal Trespass in progress at a southside business.  Officer Allred contacted a male subject there who had been warned previously of Criminal Trespass.  He was placed under arrest and charged with criminal trespass. 

 

At about 11:40 last night Officer Josh Davis Stopped a car in the 1500 Blk of N Mockingbird for a traffic violation.  A female passenger in the cat had outstanding warrants for Possession of Cocaine and Driving with License Invalid.  She was placed under arrest and transported to the Taylor County Jail. 

 

And finally at about 2:15 this morning Officer Paul Martinez was dispatched to a noise disturbance call in the 2000 blk of green.   When Officer Martinez arrived there was a man standing in the yard and he put down a beer.  Officer Martinez shined a light on the man and he was holding a plastic baggie which he promptly threw down.  Officer Martinez detained the subject and a field test revealed that there was about 4 grams of cocaine in the baggie.  The male subject was arrested for Possession of Cocaine.

CRIME REPORT; 6-6-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Last night at about 9:25 Officer Andrew Valdez was dispatched the 1600 blk of Fannin for a disturbance call.  Officer Valdez contacted a male subject who was in the street yelling and   cursing.  Officer Valdez warned the man several times to calm down but he continued.  Officer Valdez placed the man under arrest for Disorderly Conduct. 

 

At about 11:40 last night Officer Brittany Martinez stopped a vehicle in the 3900 blk of buffalo Gap Road for running a stop sign.  A passenger in the car got out and ran from Officer Martinez.  The man ran through a fence causing damage of over $50.00.  He was caught in the 2600 blk of S 41st and placed under arrest.  He had in his possession .9 grams of cocaine and a small amount of marijuana.  The male subject also had an outstanding warrant for Robbery.  He is being charged with Possession of Cocaine, Evading Detention, Criminal Mischief, Possession of Marijuana, and the Robbery Warrant.    

 

And finally at about 12:15 Officer Jon Merrick answered a theft call at a south side business.  A male subject had tried to steal a beer.  Officer Merrick contacted the man who was obviously intoxicated and placed him under arrest for Public Intoxication.  For the Abilene Police Department, this is Det John Clark.  Have a great day!

CRIME REPORT; 6-7-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday afternoon at about 5:10 agents of the Special Operations Division and the Reactive Intelligence Unit executed a Search Warrant in the 1400 blk of Merchant.  The male suspect attempted to flush about 28 grams of powder cocaine.  Agents also seized approximately three pounds of marijuana.  The male suspect was arrested for Delivery of Cocaine and Possession of Marijuana. 

 

At about 11:38 last night Officer Mary Guitar stopped a vehicle in the 2000 blk of S Clack because the vehicle license had a warrant hit.  The male driver was arrested  for 7 outstanding traffic warrants. 

 

And finally at about 1:22 Sgt Jason Haak was dispatched to a weapon discharge call.  Sgt Haak located the suspect vehicle wrecked in the 800 blk of S 8th still running.    The driver jumped out of the car and attempted to run.  He was apprehended after a foot chase.  The male subject failed a field a field sobriety test and arrested for DWI.  He was transported to Taylor County Jail where he was administered a breath test,  The results were .237 and .246.  Legal limit is .08.  He was charged with DWI with Accident and Evading Detention.

CRIME REPORT; 6-8-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday at about 5:50 PM Officer Chris Hall was dispatched to the 2300 blk of S 27th for a disturbance call.  Officer Hall contacted a male subject who stated that he threatened the life of the victim.  The victim had visible injuries.  The male subject was placed under arrest for Assault Family Violence and transported to the Taylor County Jail. 

 

At about 6:40 PM t Officer Jimmy Woods was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 800 blk of Eastover.  A female subject there threw a bucket of paint on the victim then attempted to hit her with the bucket.  This female subject was arrested for Assault Family Violence and transported to the Taylor County Jail.    

 

And finally at about 1:40 this morning Officer Damian Hutchinson attempted to stop a vehicle for running the red light at N 8th and Hickory.  The vehicle did not stop until the 600 blk of Mulberry.  Officer Hutchinson smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage and had the female subject perform the Standardized Field Sobriety tests which she failed.  She was transported to the Taylor County Jail where she refused a breath test.  She was booked for DWI Second Offense with an Open Container.
