Crime Report; 9/16/2011

 

Good morning! Her are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours.

 

At about 10:36am yesterday morning, Officer Jeff Bell investigated a domestic violence incident in the 800 block of Butternut. A female alleged that her husband hite her in the face with a necklace. The husband left the scene before police arrived, but he was soon located in the 500 block of Meander and admitted that he has hit his wife. This 26 year old man was arrested and charged with Assault/ Family Violence.

 

At about 12:34pm yesterday afternoon, Sgt. Michael Baird contacted a 26 year old man at a motel located in the 5600 block of S. First St. regarding a Felony warrant for with Possession of Oxycodone. The man was arrested on the warrant and subsequent investigation revealed that he was in also possession of Amphetamine. The man was booked into the Taylor County Jail on both the outstanding warrant and the possession charge.

 

 Finally, at about 8:45pm last night, Officer Ward contacted a man at an apartment in the 600 block of N Pioneer after the officer received information that the man was wanted and was at this location. This 19 year old man was contacted and placed under arrest for the warrant that charged him with Possession of Dangerous Drugs. Further investigation revealed that the man had three additional warrants, so he was charged with those warrants also (Possession of Marijuana, Fail to Appear and Minor in Possession).

CRIME REPORT; 9-26-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday at 8:40 PM Officer Mary Guitar stopped a car for a traffic violation in the 900 block of N Willis.  The male driver appeared intoxicated and failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  He was placed under arrest for DWI and provided a breath sample.  The results were 0.151 and 0.148.  The legal limit is 0.08. 

 

At 11.40 PM Officer Damien Hutchinson was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 1300 block of Beech.  Officer Hutchinson observed one of the parties involved in the disturbance pull out and leave.  Officer Hutchinson stopped this vehicle in the 1300 block of Grape.  This male subject appeared intoxicated and failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  He was placed under arrest and provided a breath sample.  The results were 0.150 and 0.146.  He was charged with DWI. 

 

And finally Officer Adam Richardson was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 1800 block of Woodard.  Officer Richardson contacted a male subject there who appeared intoxicated.  The subjects wife claimed that this male subject knocked her down and sat on her chest causing her difficulty in breathing.  The male subject was placed under arrest for Assault Family Violence.

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday at 1:00 PM Officer Mike Janusz was dispatched to a disturbance in the 1800 block of Woodard.  Officer Janusz contacted a male subject who was named in an active protective order in force at this residence.  This male subject was placed under arrest for Violation of a Protective Order. 

 

At 10:40 PM Officer Andrew Valdez stopped a vehicle in the 3600 block of Old Anson Road for a traffic violation.  A K-9 alerted on the vehicle and several small baggies of meth amphetamine were discovered.  This male subject was placed under arrest for Possession of Meth Amphetamine. 

 

And finally at 12:55 AM Officer Chris Volirakis stopped a vehicle in the 2800 block of N 1st for a traffic offense.  The male driver appeared intoxicated and refused to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  He was placed under arrest for DWI and provided a blood sample with the results pending.
