Posted in: Wolf Creek - Bondurant

From the chats I've attempted to have the the clubhouse lady she is pretty useless. She has no idea whats going on.

I have also gritted my teeth and paid the dues. Who decided to build the enclosure over the mailboxes? Did I miss a vote or something? Anyone know anything about meetings, etc.? There appears to be no association meetings, etc.

Hamersma (the owner) told me that the USPS forced him to enclose the mailboxes because of wind and ice issues.  I personally think it is a good thing.

Well, at least they put the vinyl siding on the enclosure. It was just sheathing for weeks. I was about to send a nasty letter informing them that they are in violation of subdivision covenants which clearly state that any outbuilding must be of the same SIDING MATERIAL AND COLOR and roof construction. HAHAHA.

Yeah...the enclosure was not a sound idea. At least my mail won't get snow on in this winter.

ps....I have contacted both Mark Hammersma and Pam Rittsema on a couple of occasions about warranty issues. Pam is pretty good about getting back to me.

(don't tell them where you got these).

Hope this helps....see ya round neighbors.

USPS cannot force him to enclose that structure. They can merely suggest. The structure doesn't pose any immediate eminent danger to any of the carriers set to deliver mail to it. It is no more dangerous than walking up to someones front stoop and delivering their mail. Besides, Mark has already saved a lot of money by building that structure as opposed to putting mailboxes in front of our houses.
