your partially right but...cont.

On your final comment regarding justifying the expenditure (I am assuming it is in regards to meals) it has to be done one way or another...no getting around it as with everything else I am sure there could be possibilities and suggestions which if provided could offer money saving options...and if so, why not?

As I type I do not have any to offer, and I am sure that ordering deliver would be out of the cost or reason or having animal control mix together a bowl of dry kibble & warm water would be inhumane? Where is the happy medium?

To be honest however, depending on the number of prisoners, the actual meal process takes very little time away from an Officer and is just one of the many tasks that we are assigned to perform on a daily basis.

At the very best...it is simply just annoying, but necessary.

The Problem Is......

even WHEN the city goes back to one tag the Solid Waste Fund will not make enough money to support itself because much of the money was made on the sale of extra tags.

So if those of us who have all these extra tags from the past few years of the 2 tag system have all these tags to fall back on, the sale of tags will not bring in money for at least another couple years! Employees of the city will not ever see a raise based on big deficit this 2 tag trash program has created!

The bottom line is the program was ''tweaked'' to please the very FEW but in the end it will hurt the majority. You are right to remember this at election time!

The solution is....

Declare all the current tags obsolete. Distribute NO free tags. Sell the new tags for $10.00 each. Then everyone can have a raise.
