By the postings on this site, everyone in Wyandotte must be a Republican now, and that is why so few showed up for the Democratic caucus. Us bleeding heart Liberal Democrats don't seem to have any friends in Wy. I just have a few words of caustion for those Bush lovers. He is not controlling spending at all. All these wars and solving all the skirmishes everywhere in the world costs big bucks and cutting taxes doesn't help pay those bills. We are moving to a record budget deficit this Fiscal year ending in September, probably over %500 billion. This will put the total Federal Deficit at about $3 Trillion. When interest rates start moving up by the end of this year and up even more next year, the carrying cost on all that debt will kill the pitiful little economic recovery that we are now seeing. Japan's economy has been stuck in the mud for about the last 10 years and ours will be even worse than theirs.

I thought it interesting that one poster mentioned that Bush has made our military stronger but our local Police seem to be ignored when it comes to spending on them. This is partially the result of those big Bush tax cuts and the Feds not giving the States money and the State not giving as much to the Local governments. So when you have to pay much higher local taxes and all kinds of special fees just remember that Bush cut our taxes.
