Circle C is lucky to have UT!

Posted in: Circle C
I've been a resident of Circle C for many years and have recently been passed a copy of an email that appears to be a compilation of complaints about the use of the Circle C Pool by the Longhorn Aquatics. Longhorn Aquatics represents a merger between Circle C Swimming and Texas Aquatics. There are a lot of homeowners that belong to the Longhorn Aquatics, more than you think.

My family has? used the pool more than most of you,? each of us? swim over 3000 yards a? day, 6 days a week. My family is fine athletic shape while most of Circle C is simply fat and out of shape, I also spend a great deal of time volunteering my services at the pool, both in maintenance and? cleaning up after you homeowners and your kids.

I don't use the tennis courts, the daycare center or the golf course. My boys were a part of skimmers since it's inception

Prior to Randy's arrival, the attendance at the pool was insignificant.

The only swimmers after 7pm (Monday through Thursday) are homeowners who happen to? be also Longhorn Aquatics Masters swimmers, like myself. I swim Monday through Friday? from 5:30AM to 7AM (I doubt many Circle C homeowners are waiting to use the lane I share with other Masters!). The handful? of homeowners that swim Tuesday through Thursday at 6AM usually have a lane to themselves. Personally, I think they could benefit greatly by joining the Longhorn Aquatics both in instruction and in fitness. It is a difficult enough exercise when performed as a group, it is even tougher to go it alone.

The homeowner that complained about having to swim with several other adults doesn't realize how fortunate he was to have swam ''as our guest''.

His complaint about having to circle swim is unreasonable. One, he doesn't realize how many homeowners have paid the $75 and also pay hundreds of dollars per month to be part of the Longhorn Aquatics program. He has no idea.

The UT Longhorn Aquatics program is the biggest benefit to come to Circle C in the 10 years we have been here!

Find another problem people.

Thank you for your information

Mr. Jeff W:

Thank you so much for your post. I will forward this post to the Travis County White Collar Crime Unit for investigation.

Apparently, the $$$ that the Board has received from the homeowners who joined the Longhorn Aquatics Program has not been TOTALLY credited to the Association?’s account. This is just another form of EMBEZZLEMENT!

Thank you again for the information.

Change Your Title of Your Post

Jeff W:

You should change the title of your post to ?– Circle C Developer and Circle C Board are so LUCKY for having the Swimming Team.

Circle C homeowners (aka suckers) paid the following amount of Swim Center Operational Expenses and Swim Center Capital Improvement:

2003 $316,401
2002 $256,192
2001 $261,329

The Association (homeowners/suckers) had only received the following amount from the swimming team:

2003 $42,894
2002 $10,100
2001 $ 6,564

Therefore, Mr. Jeff W, you should change your post title to: Circle C Developer and Circle C Board are so LUCKY for having the Swimming Team.

Let's get REAL.

1. The swim team uses 80% of the pool, while the contract provides the homeowners with income for 10% of our overall yearly pool cost.

2. The swim team contract gives 100% indemnity to UT and it's employees but there is NO indemnity for our HOA.

Look at one part of the Circle C swim survey yourself (only a portion of the survey is on this web page): http://karman_1.tripod.com/circlec/

Note 1.d. & 1.e. on that website.

?• The majority of CCHOA survey respondents said the swim team should go.
?• There are also many additional comments, not show here, from homeowners that clearly ask for the swim team to move to another pool.
?• The BOD kept the survey results from the residents.
