''Tax Over-Ride'' Says Hubbard

Posted in: Braintree
with every vote

the override crowd gets closer to their goal of tax increase. the lie they propagate for the tax increase is for the infrastructure, school buildings and roads are in desperate need of repair.

The desperate need is for an override to pass in Braintree, the theory is if one passes others will follow.

Do not be confused the reason for any tax increase is to give raises to number one the teachers, and following the rest of the town employees.

As the tax base is consumed the various town employee unions will continue for more and more
funding that can only come from increases in taxes.

The number one problem is regain control of town finances and spending. The town payroll and benefits granted have exceeded our ability to pay for them.

Even after layoff?’s relieve some what the burden there is a clamor to hire the excess back, this is fiscal madness. Its time to return to common sense and fiscal parsimony.
Vote No on 2 1/2OverRide SCAMS!

Stay tuned to the selectman's meetings for any scams to be hatched for another question on the ballot asking it's citizens for a 2 1/2 over ride.

The town has spoken.
NO 2 1/2 over rides.
How many times can the selectmen ask to have this question on the ballot ?

If such a question appears again it will be time to organize.

then tell me why most teachers

send their kids to private schools?
Have you taken a poll?

I don't know where you get your information from.. But, myself and most of the teachers that I know who LIVE here in Braintree and have children(and grandchildren), have them enrolled in the Braintree Public Schools grades K-12. As a matter of interest Dr. Kurzberg even sends his kids to Braintree Public Schools, as well as the School Committee. What amount of teachers that YOU know of, send their kids to private schools? I would say a very small amount... I don't know of any except for some teachers who live in another town. Anyone who feels (and it is their right) that their child would be better taught in another institution and can afford it, should do so. It's a choice.
