To Herb
My idea of whats broken is that we got to many old townies taking care of townies and leading to bad goverment
Its just to easy to say lets raise taxes and keep the staus quo, lets keep managers that constantly generate law suits against the town and the town sooner or later has to pay off on it.And lets create cushie jobs within the town for some very special people...........I can keep going on but I dont have the time.

Herb ...
you're not being logical. How in heaven's name can we get all they are saying from an override for the same amount of money as the trash fee. Not that many people opted out and the business community still won't add that much to the pot. The intent of the override is to free up cash for raises and that means that after this year we will be in the same fix next year only with an added tax burden. And attacking someone because he may not pay taxes is ludicrous; he can't understand over taxation because he may not pay taxes? Do you have to be a criminal to recognize a crime? And to the person who said that townies are giveing away the store I would take a second look if I were you--there are very few original townies in our government and that my friend is probably the basis of our problems. If you want your trash picked up at your door than pay the pittance they are charging and don't co-mingle it with other expenses because it's true cost will be inflated. Better yet,
see to it that the cost of trash pick-up is absorbed once again within our tax structure by making our government refain from spending additional dollars before we have them in the kitty.

Trash Fee Won't Go Away
Do anyone really believe the trash fee will go away if we approve this override ?
It's not going away.
It will be held over our heads every year.
Let's say we pass this debt exclusion.
Mr Hubbard will be at it again the next year and SURPISE, if we don't pass it, he will trot out the trash fee again.
This trash fee will not go away.
It will become the annual trump card that Hubbard will use to beat the voters in passing more overrides in following years.
This talk of ridding it is only the carrot before the donkey.
And the donkey in this case is YOU !
