Thanks, vrflanders! Just signed the "no" petition. No need for this in our area right now, I agree! :)

Incorperation also means our own fire department and police department and would mean you no longer have to pay Rural Metro a yearly fee and it would create jobs also would it not, A city would also get money from the pot that is given to each state from the government that is distributed through out the state for improvements. There are two sides to every story and I would just suggest to every one to do their home work before jumping to any conclusions and look at the facts, I have not made up my mind yet either way but I'm leaning toward the incorperation. |

Yes, by all means we should have personal responsibility to educate ourselves in knowing what incorporation means. Good point.
The main reasons I do not support this is first, we have most of the "city" amenities that are promised anyways. In a downed economy, this is a poor business decision. If the area was still growing at the speed it was 2 years ago, then it would make more sense, but now, it doesn't. Most of the funding for this would come out of our own pockets in order to support the incorporation... whether supporters say this is accurate or not, where else would it come from? The federal funds would only support roadways currently, and this seems to be just a tag line put into the verbage so that people have the notion that the gov't will be sending lots of money to us. How can that happen when they no longer carry the burden of unemployment and can't even manage to send border control to us? Really? This is why we all should educate ourselves and not feed into a handful of personal agendas.
For a real, honest question... what jobs will it create? |

I moved out here because it wasn't in any city. You folks that want to be in a city should go back where you came from. |
