So somebody has to be run over to "justify" having speed bumps?

Don't get bent out of shape.

I am guessing you missed the point I was making and took it as some personal attack. Clear your head and read it again. You got it all wrong.

You are now suggesting I want to be "king" and rip them all up just because I express my opinion on something. Having a discussing and expressing your opinion does NOT mean you desire to be in charge.

I would not mind having some of the speed bumps removed... if not all.  My biggest fear is that MORE will appear. My house was appraised recently and I was told the speed bumps decrease the value of the community. Many people do not want to buy a home in a community filled with bumpy roads.

Does it deter cut thru traffic? Possibly. Who really likes running over them... including most of the people that live in the community that have to run over them daily. So while we have less cut thru traffic.... we are forced to endure the reason people avoid our community to begin with.

I was OK with the initial three. Then the board kept adding more over time. Keep in mind that this cost is passed onto all the home owners. To me.. it is a waste of our money. Did you notice our dues went up this year?

Thank you for taking notice that I am smart simply because I voice my opinion. You.are getting all worked up and resorting to name calling now. Very adult of you.

How about this for our community.....

We need to ban large breed dogs because they "could" bite a child on the sidewalk. I know this is not a huge problem or if it has even happened... But we need to play it safe.

Somebody PLEASE think of the children!!!

Do you see what I am getting it? It is silly to suggest we take steps to prevent a non-existent problem. Even you and your child were able to move out of the way proving the speed bumps did not do any good.

Making everyone in the community suffer for the actions of those outside the community is so dumb! But it makes people "feel" safer. Your story proves it is a false sense of security.

Don't need to argue about speed bumps anymore.   It's a done deal anyway.

The treasurer thing really urks me!

Their are more important things going on or not going on.

Has anyone noticed all the trash toters left out all week long??

How about that carpet and carpet padding on the side of that townhouse at 4320 Mallory Hill?  How ridiculous!  It's been there since the beginning of November 09!!  How about the turned over plastic lounger chair in the common grass around the same place?  Can't someone just put that in one of the trash heaps up there on trash day?

The weathered condition of some of the homes (fronts and backs)?

Where's the management company person for all this??  This stuff is routine maintenance.

What are we paying for?   I'm going to call Armstrong.  Only problem is that they log your name and number from your calling phone and then you get slated as trouble and they ignore what you reported.

We should look for solutions to the problems of our community otherwise this site is just going to become a complaint site.  Wink
