I'm sorry that the hostile tone of their response to our replies shut down any possibility of communication and neighborliness.

It's cool!    You will get used to it after a while.   The website was always billed as a forum for neighbors to voice their thoughts, suggestions, etc....with the caveat that what you expressed may be used against you.   I posted my original note out of frustration of not getting a response and as I am not too thrilled with the response I got, at least I got one.  Nothing changes even after several years of living here hence one of my desires to leave this place.   I am sorry you had the same experiences I have had.
