I'm a smoker, but I disagree with you.

Smoking is a horrible habit, and a costly one. Not just in terms of their price, but the health costs associated with smoking. chosen, do you know that their are 160 toxic chemicals in cigarettes? Toxins like Acetone and Carbon Monoxide.
Companies that offer cigarettes at a discounted price aren't looking out for the consumer, they're trying to line their pockets with more cash while ruining your health. This in turn helps drug companies make more money. More smokers smoking more means more sick people. More sick people means more pills and more pills means higher costs for healthcare.

As a smoker, I wouldn't mind if cigarettes were banned totally.

Ask yourself some basic questions:

1) Is it the Governments job to care for you?

No? Then tell them to butt out. (pardon the pun)
Yes? Then why does the government seek to over tax a item 40 years after knowledge of it's ill effects. It's a drug dealers trick, give it away free, get them addicted and take all there money. You want a lawsuit? Try one against a government that stood silent and approved all efforts to addict a population only to increase it's tax revenue.
