Totally Agree

We need to use our tax dollars to fix the problems OUR OWN CITIZENS are facing & allow the funds to dry up that support ILLEGALS. They need to know that the FREE ride is over & IF they want a better life; to come here legally, or, (here's an idea)!, try find the strength to make it better in their own country. There comes a time to say that the gravy train has dried up, you aren't invited anymore. PERIOD!

Ther is no argument that

there are a ton of folks in this country ''illegally.'' No argument that there is some cost of having them here(hospitals, social services etc.) Think about what we are demanding....how many of these folks fill jobs that you and I refuse to do? I have worked in a packing house. How many of you are willing/able to do so and at what wage? I would suggest that when we start paying 2 or3 times the current price for produce, meat, home or road construction etc, we will all be rethinking the subject.
The US imposes its will on other countries but seems rather slow to pressure Mexico and other neighbors to the south to reform their govts so their people wont need to move out.
I often wonder at just what it would take for me to pack up everything I could carry on my back, move(walk) to another country where I dont speak the language and have no guarantee of a job all in hopes of making a better life. I can only guess at the conditions these folks are leaving to come here. Isnt this what our ancestors did? Come to America for a better life?
Sorry but I dont see a ''gravy train'' where these folks are having an easy life. A better life than they had? Yes. But this is what America is all about isnt it?
I am sure my opinion isnt popular so blast away if you must.......

You can't-

liken todays immigrants to those of America's past. When my own ancestors arrived here with what they could carry, they couldn't make the rounds of agencies for handouts. They had to hit the ground running, so to speak. They knew that and came anyway, living in tents and working on railroads and lumber camps. The point is, they had to do for themselves for a long time. Very little or no handouts came their way.
