A grocery store downtown would help. So would a laundromat, don't you think, I mean a nice one that is kept clean and well maintained. Just a thought.

Opening in October
I recently had a tour of the Hotel facility. The restaurant is beautiful. A total remodel from what had been there before. The new owners already have a successful restaurant operation on 53rd Street in Davenport, so I'm expecting good things from this one as well. I was told that they expect to open sometime in early October.

I agree one hundred percent. It just irritates me when someone like that gets on here and spouts off about something they know absolutely nothing about.
The downtown looks greater than it has in years, and I really, really resent someone downgrading the efforts of so many people, tax write-off or not.
Herman is correct when he says ''who cares''. Tax write-off or not, at least someone is helping Muscatine, unlike our uneducated poster who calls themselves FYI.
