What is meant by ''illegal?'' My understanding is that it is something against the law. However, it has been pointed out that immigration is a federal issue and that other law enforcing agencies should not and are not required to enforce the laws as it related to illegal immigration.

Personally, I think this stinks. Our local police dept and Sheriff's departments should weed out those living in our community illegally. After all, it is against our laws to be here. It is argued that to enforce the law would encroach upon those immigrants living here legally and create ill feelings within the Hispanic community. I believe our local enforcement agencies have a duty to enforce the law. What do you believe?

but, people, including police, only do what they have to do unless kicked in the butt to do more. That ''kick in the butt'' has to come from higher up. Ultimately, the voters. MO.

I agree with you both. Have of our problem with crime is lack of enforcement or lack of proper sentences. When we wake up and demand the government do their jobs and do them the way the people want. they chip at the bill of rights and we all do nothing. go republicans and democrats. we need a big change. America needs to wake up!!!!!!
