I was Downtown yesterday and noticed K and D Cloters is giving up after 49 years as an anchor business in our downtown. I really hate to see this happen but I suppose it's our fault for not supporting our hometown business and the Chamber for spending too much time on things like lighting the bridge. Maybe we can do better and keep what stores are left and encourge more businees to develop Downtown. It's just one little store but tax base goes with it,something we can not afford to loose!

And another one

Downtown Drug is also closing. Both businesses have been part of downtown for decades. It's sad to lose any business, but 2 at once is really bad.

K & D Clothiers

According to a interview w/Denny Cockshoot by KWPC (today), was that he is getting out of the business due to poor health, and, that someone else MAY manage, and/or own the business, in the future. It left it open as to whether or not the place would physically close (8am news today). 1st I had heard of Carver Ace Hardware closing.
