Here this guy "runs" the farm house on the hill and can't even pronounce "myriad". Try mere ree id. Instead of my rid. Oh, and the Friday talk shows.......get Toastmasters on there some time to count his uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, times infintum!! Him and Schwandke must have went to the same Stuttttter School of Broadcasting with M, M, M, Mel Tillis.............The Toastmasters would have to ring the "bell" so many times the high school kids would think they are getting out before noon..........That station is still a joke except Ron, Charles, and the new sports guy......Ramsey is great. And the Toyota Teacher of the Month. They should run it for a MONTH.

So which ex is it?

Employee, husband, wife, boyfriend or girlfriend

Or didn't win the big prize, what?

To suddenly come out of the woodwork like this.

Hey it's a small radio station in a small town, true some of talk shows are really lame but it's either here or the Quad Cities or Iowa City.

I am an EX of nothing! And I have posted several times before this. At least Ron Ed(schwinn) got new teeth and the Matt Leaf has fallen from the radio farm house employee tree.  He was a mistake in the first place. The new sports person has a great radio voice. Steve Bridges,  Tim Scott, Mark Lucas, and even (ugh) Lisa Catalona........where are you?!?!???!??!?!? Maybe there is descendents of Norman Baker........that can open a QUACK radio like this one. Quack, quack, and AFLAC not a sponsor.

Steve Bridges went to Iowa city not long after "The Plus" went silent and started another station:  http://www.1630kcjj.com/

I hear that Tim Scott is doing on air voice promos for the KWPC-MACFM website.

Mark Lucas did some freelance DJ'ing not long after leaving the AM side when the format changed from country. Don't know what he's doing now

Lisa, well, lets just say, That is one voice I don't miss.

How about Cary (sp) Piece? Did the Sunday night OTBT show (Off The Beaten Track). He's now what you call a world traveler (and that's not his real name! Only people who knew him personally know it).

Andy Hammer left the "PLUS" back in the early 90's and went to 97-X. He was let go due in part of mis-reading the Marconi ID (misreading the call letters of the station would do that).

I have nothing but respect for Ron Edwin. Stuck it out this long and he knows he is the most recognizable voice on air in this area.

don't know about the rest of the crew. Lost track of them years ago.

Once, proper grammer was the most important thing for on air announcers (ie: it's GOLD-EN  OL-DEEZ,  not GOLEN OLDEIES - Golen is a lake over in England - so I'm told). I remember a time when Bad Grammer was taboo. News stories were edited so you didn't hear Ahh, Umm, Well, Ya Know, Excuse Me, etc.

Nowadays, it's common to hear that crap and it makes for a very bad newscast that is hard to follow. At least Charles Potter knows proper grammer.  Just have to ditch those corny drop ins during the newscast. Leave 'em for your in and out break cues (and for Ron).

When I was younger I remember listening to KFMH radio, 99 Plus Stereo and all that great rock, jazz and progressive music they played.  Some of the names I remember from back then are Kyle Riley, Lisa Catalona, Steve Bridges, Tim Scott, Pat O'Day, Greg Anson, Deeya McClurkin, with Rob Graham, Mike Ingram, Sherry? in the news room.  Riley was the morning man 6-10, followed by Lisa 10-2.  Midday 2-6 was handled by O'Day and Anson took over at 6 ran to midnight passing it off overnight to Deeya if I remember right.  Does anyone know whatever became of these guys?  Someone told me Kyle passed away from cancer.  They were a pretty eclectic group of jocks and personally I thinked they smoked 97X back in the day.  It would be cool to get them back together for a weekend reunion and let them do what they used to do best....ROCK the REAL FM!

Nowadays I have to comfort myself with dreams of bigbrother hitting me with floppy pickles and darylmaxin throwing black olives at me.
