Whoa....Kenny Jay.  Yep, he was on the tv show every week.

I have an old autograph book that I took with me to the matches.  Have autographs from the Crusher, The Frenchman Rene Goulet, Reg Parks (he was professional body builder before wrestling), Igor the Strongest man in the world, Cowboy Bob Orton, Larry Hennig and more.  Loved professional wrestling before it got so "show-business". 

Did anyone mention the Cherrie Top and those wonderful tenderloins and onion rings. How about the carnavels on the riverfront, yep I do remember the skating rik under the tent on the river front. How about Halloween when we used to paint the windows uptown with all kids of scary pics That was fun,and when the stores stayed open late on  fri night. Oh yea one more back in the day ya could Trick or Treat like three nites in a row and they used to invite ya in to do a song ora littke dance. Never a worrie back then of getting hurt. Oh yes just one more how about May Day when we made little paper baskets and filled them with wild flowers to put on someones door knob. Those were surley the days.

Does anyone remeber Captian Ernies Showboat TV show? We mailed in every week trying to win the prize and finally after a year my brother won! It was the greatest thing in the world, A single serve 1 cup popcorn popper!! I know it doesnt sound like much but when your a kid and they say your name on tv and send you that prize its like the greatest day in the history of a kids life..

Cap'n. Ernie was great. So was Cap'n. Vern before him.
