Yes they did, LJ. I mentioned Mrs. Griesenbrock in an earlier thread but I failed to say she owned it. It's funny, records indicate that building was built in 1870 in what is called the "Island View Addition". Who the hell can see the island from there now??? |

Your memory was correct. I was correcting tjm, he said the Nabers owned it. It is so ironic, I was googling Modern Dairy, because I am looking for anyone who has any items from there that they would like to sell. I just randomly came across your thread and it made me smile. Miss Griesenbrock that you were referring to is my Great Aunt. She is my mother's Aunt. They called her Auntie Bea. Really? That is interesting. Could you ever see the island from there?? |

Auntie Bea never married or had children. She was my grandfather's sister. And actually she did not own it, their parents did!! |
