Hi. Ya know I gave that *eye to eye* thought some consideration. It's true we are a people in need of some mutual interest and consern these days. My republican distinction and inclinations are of little importance in the over all scheme of things. Just as your or others democratic ones are. To me, and growing up in an era where the only real difference was what role our government played in our specific needs, it's about a nation. A country of Americans and this division we suffer, striving to come together for the common good of all. That era has been obliterated by those SO CALLED BUSH REPUBLICANS who left the notion of American individualism, fell into greed ahead of the depression and enslaved a nation thus falling into our welfare era. Now those same ugly beasts have taken us into our current crisis. To me, being a republican is tougher and tougher these days to truly belong, since they are about to die out with my generation. This is still America and still one nation under God. Those who do not understand that, should consider not calling themselves Republicans and in many cases Americans. Since that has begun to leave a bad tatse in the mouths of a nation poised to toss them out on their butts. If Ronald Reagan were here today or could, he would toss them out himself or roll in his grave as we speak. When that man spoke of American glory, the economy, or jobs and government, he felt it, fought for it and honestly believed in it. He would not have signed those Bush trade pacts with Americorps and our financial rivals as the *new Republican* leaders have. At least not with any path for companies to close up and walk off with trillions in their pockets. Greed and American glory do not go hand in had my friends and he would not be proud of his/our party today. Mr Hoover and Reagan were the last vestiges of what a true Republican stood for.
