Stimulus did work, almost

You mean like the ABB moniker you had in your signature line with that other username?

ABB? I have no clue to what that means. However that seems to be a lot of your post of late. Do want to take a shot at the question?

Short term memory loss, I would guess. (Or convenience...)

The bigger point was that although obama really can't do anything unless congress falls in-line. Bush couldn't have done any good or harm unless he had a congress that felt the essential same, as he had the majority of his terms. Obama couldn't drive a herd of plastic cattle. But to the victor there should be a true conservative heart. We all know you cannot spend our way to prosparity and shooting taxes beyond the moon won't help either. It has to be a multi level attack at the heart of all our misery. Fair tax cod,e and no free taxless borders of trade. Lets be fair to our minds and for once use common sense. We are not flushing millions of jobs down the drain because Americans just don't want to work. No, it took a decade or more to do this to the greatest economy on earth, and the proof it was dealt to one and all through that time, is that now we have corporate gains nearly all off shore, to the tune of almost three trillion dollars. It did not pop out of thin air. These gains are directly the result of free trade that did so much more than just offer no tariff's. It offered no taxes or these corps wouldn't have been able to afford such a huge venture and move these millions of jobs to other countries. Huge tax cuts that really only help the rich, and two largely unfunded wars with no end in sight.  Give us a candidate that sees this and willl refuse to let it continue and there's your winner. I don't see that much integrity in most of our republican contingent. Obama and the democrats are ill equipped also to see it especially since they had two years of a super majority to do ANYTHING about it. Sadly, we are running out of time. Every one of these jokers talks about jobs, why the hell don't they talk about where those jobs went and how? Then they can finally stop talking and do something about it. we still have time to find at least one true conservative though. Damage by bush? The same goes for clinton, reagan, bush, carter, ford, nixon and so on. Who knows how long the reality of the good and bad things these guys have done will take to be known. But one thing is for sure. I'm just some old bat with a waning clock I know, but time is running out on all of us, it has got to change and soon.

BDI - I think the damage Bush did to our country will take decades to overcome. I feel Obama has done little in the way to correct it.

So who do we elect next?

Perry is a Bush look-a-like who actually compares politically with Obama. What a freaking nightmare that could be. Ron Paul is a joke and Bachmann (who Iowa again got wrong in the straw poll) is a fruit-loop among the nuts trying to elect her. Newt is.... Well he's Newt.

No one seems to like Huntsman. Which means he's making sense, but no one wants to listen. This leaves us Romney.... What good, self-serving, God fearing, Republican would elect a mormon? None is the correct answer.

So who?

Will we have to put up with another 4 years of Obama? Can America survive? The most basic question we need to ask ourselves is "Do we want to elect someone that's good for America or just someone that can beat Obama?".

If we assume the two are not the same, what's our choice?

But the fact is he didn't as it turned out, but until he lied repeatedly about the cause for war, I was with him. Then, he signed the NCLB act that really riled me though I was retired half a decade earlier. Still associated with teaching and not one single educator as I, saw anything but a slick willie way to defund education and blame teachers for the ignorance rate of our students.

No sane and logical person who has studied the history of the situation really believes that Bush "lied repeatedly about the cause for war".  That leaves us with......

Ah, I think we've turned over a rock here!   It looks like I've discovered what is truly behind your negative fixation with Bush.  Ex-teacher, teacher solidarity, NCLB, now I see what's really up.  Someone shakes up the old system and institutes actual tests to determine whether or not we are getting a bang for our tax dollar buck.  This pissed off the "teachers"!  Yep, now I see the light.  Glad we got that out in the open.  It will help us understand what is behind your posts.  Thanks.
