I'm with you on this one.   BS reads too much into things to make them fit his world.

The reader is left with the interpretation of the literal words before them. Maybe you should take a remedial writing class, mallcontent.

I'm still waiting for you to prove which sediment in the Gulf is Iowa's. (he he he)

"Nedl, I see Roger Roth is running, and Kim Otto perhaps there is someone you can consider?"

BS, When this reader is "left with the interpretation of the literal words before them", (see above) they see no hint of "bashing".

Your implying that the reader is ignorant or uneducated doesn't change anything.

I will never prove which sediment in the Gulf is from Iowa.   It's not provable.   What can be determined is the amount of NOx or other chemical (not sediment) which is from Iowa.   It's measured when it leaves the state not after is co-mingled with that from all other states.

Last word on the subject.

Hmmmph....I'm left to wonder how they measure this chemical.  Is it down near Burlington, or Fort Madison?  Do they have a little boat in the middle of the river with signs that say "Iowa Chemicals to the right, Wisconsin/Minnesota chemicals to the left"?  Is there something special about those Iowa chemicals that make them different from the Wisconsin/Minnesota chemicals? If Ned pees in the river, does it throw off all of the gauges and measuring devices?  Is "co-mingled" really a word, and if so does anybody give a rats backside about the whole subject?  If they measure it after it leaves the state, how do they keep it from "co-mingling"?   Is there chemical racism involved, and if there is, will Al Sharpton be putting in an appearence?  If Sharpton shows up, will BDI be there with oatmeal cookies?

So many questions.

Gives a whole different meaning to the saying "Crazy like (a) the Fox".

This leads me to believe that you don't understand the term "crazy like a fox", which is of course understandable when one considers that it's you.

I had high hopes that you'd have an answer for at least one of the questions.

So you are still evading the "Iowa-sediment-in-the-Gulf bullshit!" by changing the parameters? Change rules in the middle of the issue when you lose, huh, malldork? Still waiting for all that proof from you.....pending....pending....pending.....

I believe that this is an example of how a forum such as this can be helpful.  I know little of any of the candidates except for Mr. Hopkins.  It's interesting to hear BigBrothers backing of Miss Roby, and it would be nice to hear more about Openshaw if Ned is so inclined. I know nothing of her background.  The positive thing here is that it looks like we have a good group to choose from, and while at this point I would probably back Hoppi, I am certainly open to new viewpoints.

Sorry for the delay, daryl...but travelling again takes me away since I don't write service orders everyday for oil changes at any walmarts. I have stated several times that Roby is a proven public servant of many years. She has also managed government budgets; something no other candidates have done. She has also been elected to public office while some of the others have not. While the mayor does not have direct supervision of staff, she has already been a government supervisor...a talent that won't be needed. But nonetheless, managment expertise. She will know when those that are managers bullshit her. Hoppi was never a real "manager" at a radio station. That is my opinion since I worked there once under "another manager". However, what does managing a radio station have to do with serving local government? He tried a bid at the statehouse and was ran out of that in my opinion. He used family as the excuse then for quitting that bid. Is family less-important now?

I'm always interested in hearing your opinions on such matters.  I suppose I would back Hoppi just because I know him and have a pretty good idea where he stands.  I tend to stay away from "management", much as I never vote for former school administrators to serve on the school board.
