One downside is that $2,000 times 12 million is only $24 billion.   Only enough to pay for a month or two of our Mideast wars.


So, there wasn't any other comment other than the math?  Nothing about mideast wars?

There was no lie.

The mention of the mideast wars costs was only to put the amount in perspective.   Still a comment on the math.

I'll give you a little information on math.   You can use it to compare different quantities.   Like equal to, greater than or less than.  Their symbols are =, > and < respectively.   I could have said $24 billion would be equal to the interest on the national debt for about 45 days.

Still math.  Now let's get on with our lives.

Or equal to 17% of the corporate income tax receipts.   That's about 1/6 th,  if you don't understand per cent.

Or the 24 billion would barely make a dent in the monies spent on illegal immigrants by United States taxpayers.

Now you're bringing in something other than math.   A"dent" isn't quantifiable.

Now forgive me justcurious, I'm not running defense for her, but she didn't actually put forth the idea of charging illegals an entry fee. It was within the original posting. But since you do not agree with that, you join the ranks of the thinkers amongst the group on that issue, but I'd like to hear her take on the issue beyond the math.

Bad idea.   I'd expand on this but it would stir up a couple of guys who would make ugly responses.


Mallory, I understand, but who says you have to reply then to them. I get a bit of a charge outta that myself, makes me feel alive now and again. But I respect your point, but sure would like to see what you really think just about the notion of the ups and downs.
