Gee. More taxes? A democratic proposal?
What a shocker.

Yet keeping the tax cut is not without cost. The holiday enacted one year ago cut Social Security payroll taxes from 6.2 to 4.2 percent, meaning there is less money being collected to fund the already endangered Social Security system.
I thought we were told only republicans would do something like this....and yet this is obamas baby..........
Obama and the Democrats are proposing a 3.25% tax surcharge on incomes over $1,000,000 to replace the loss. We'll see if Republicans will go along with it. I'm betting against it.
Is the 3.25% tax surcharge on incomes over one mil going to go directly into the Social Security payroll tax fund, or just into the general funds that the dems say whoopee, let's spend this too! If that surcharge isn't going into the payroll tax fund I am certain that Republicans will not approve.

Got home from some brief travel and have a letter from B Cross. They sent a notice that they are asking the Iowa insurance regulatory commission (?) for a 7% increase in premiums to go into effect next year sometime. People are lucky to get 1, 2, and 3 percent income raises, if at all, and the insurance industry just gets to rape us. They have to get it all now before obamacare goes fully into effect. All he did was cause knee-jerk responses like this that he cannot prevent. Thanks, nobama! |
