What Obama did was absolutely correct.  The sign should read  "IF WE HELP YOU YOU WILL BE KILLED"

The importance of this is that the U.S. is still the strongest war machine today, and we only can use this today to make the whomever stop using CBR war devices in their struggle, for fear of being attached by the strongest nation in the world.

The President drew the line, congress didn't stand behind their President.  Obama has passed the burden of decision to congress.  It will be interesting where the bull shitting loudmouth people have to make a decision, keep criticizing or do something, and be able to explain to the public why.

If you are Grassley, would the number of telephone calls he received tell him which way to vote?  If you were one of those TEA party thinking people would the cost mandate a decision?  Aren't Tomahawk missiles about 5 million dollars each?

Congress has to "fish or cut bait" it will be interesting to watch.

In the end, he concocted a Rubik’s Cube strategy designed to make him look both tough and principled while also protecting him politically: Preen about morality, delay action and hand the responsibility to somebody else. That way he’ll have a handy scapegoat if it all goes south.

If Congress, like Britain’s Parliament, says no, well then, what can Obama do? And if Congress says yes, then he’s not alone in the foxhole.

In its own way, his strategic concoction perfectly reflects who and what he is as a president — clever without being wise. He’s got an answer for everything and a solution for nothing.

Remember, Obama put himself in this no-win situation by passively watching the bodies pile up in Syria. His declaration of a “red line” on chemical weapons aimed to make him look resolute but it amounted, as Sen. John McCain said, to a green light on wholesale slaughter with every other kind of weapon.

So it was no surprise that Assad, in a fight to the death, crossed the red line.
