I take it you're joking. I already drive slowly on Miller's Hill. I'm no fool. Closing it would present a problem for those kids who have to walk to West Middle School from the neighborhood below the bluffs. They would have to either walk over to Houser, or all the way around by way of 8th St.
I'm guessing that you are against the idea of having kids walk through "your" cemetery as it is going to change your routine and possibly even cause more work for you. I do know that if I was buried there, and if I had any idea what was going on, I would welcome the idea that kids were in the neighborhood about 9 months out of the year. From what I see, I see the city and state spending a lot of money "fixing" things that don't need fixing and not fixing things that do. I'm not against spending money on restoring something that is actually historically significant or something that will benefit the kids and others. How much money was spent on walking trails, on the clam god, etc.? The steps would be a great excercise point. I'm still for it.
I never said it was "My" cemetery. How are these steps historically significant?
