I loved that part where Eastwood was talking to that empty chair. Especially the part where he walked over to it, bent over and sniffed it. Classic Eastwood.

I say go ahead and rebuild the steps, but let the people who want them repaired or replaced pay for them completely including maintenance. I don't believe their use would justifiy the cost to taxpayers. BTW they could only be used during the day time hours since Greenwood closes at sundown and reopens at sunrise otherwise it is trespassing, that's according to the signs posted.

These are the types of issues that need to be on the ballot and put to a vote here in Muscatine.  But only voted on by those who actually pay taxes that end up in the city's coffers. 

 

But, I'm one of those who believes that all votes in the USA should be weighted relative to the amount of taxes paid by the voter.  In other words, those who pay the most should have more of a say than those who pay the least.  A flat tax might be the only way this could be accomplished.
