Mal, although a lot of county jails are run by Sheriffs (all in Iowa) not everyone that works for them are Deputies. A secretary is still a secretary, a jailer is still a jailer. The position of Deputy Sheriff is a quite specific title, if you would like to check the Iowa Code you can see that. Some counties do have Deputies that work in the jail, but not in Muscatine.

It's interesting that hiroad, mallory, for all of you are fantastic at pulling a article or quote out of another source, but never or rarely do you really ever explain your true feelings and why.

It would be interesting to relay the thoughts you truly think from yourself.  I know, some of you don't think, but it would be interesting to know how you feel.

Try it you may like it.

Do I "feel" anything?   I'll tell you one thing I feel.  When I pull the trigger............recoil.

BS thinks he's protecting a prisoner in the Muscatine jail from libel or slander or somthing.

No I don't and can't.

You have already violated her and victimized her further here. No one can prevent that here.

I hate to ask and get you all upset, but are you sure these jail officers aren't deputies?   I think in a lot of jails run by sheriffs, they're called deputies.

Yes; I'm sure. Even the press is smarter than you.
