Thanks to everyone that offered their thoughts on the upcoming primary elections. We're a little disappointed that no candidates chose to speak up in this forum but we'll take what we can get.
As promised, this week we turn our attention to the school levy issue on the ballot next month. Please tell us if you plan to vote for or against the levy and why. We would also like to hear from any school board members, we know you read this blog so please offer your insight to the readers.

My vote
I figured that I would go ahead and offer my opinion to get us started...
I will be voting for the levy. My spouse and I made a promise to our children to support them and their schools. We must vote ''yes'' in order to keep that promise. Please understand that this vote is for the schools and the students only and not a vote for the school board.

For the levy
I'm voting for the levy.
The overcrowding of the schools is out of hand and is embarrasing. While my confidence in the school board is lacking greatly, no one else, including myself, chose to run in the last election so I can't blame anyone other than myself for not making changes.
I was not educated in conditions such as these and I shouldn't expect my children to be either. Art in the hallway or in the bathroom is not acceptable to me.
Operating money that should be used to educate our kids is being used on stupid, wasteful portables.
We are not Groveport Madison, but we are quickly moving in that direction if we continue to blindly say No to school levies.
I'm voting YES!

I'm voting for the levy. We owe it to our kids to the best we can for them. It's also a cheap way to insure social security for the future.
Please, whatever your feelings about past or the current BOE, don't punish kids.
