No kidding

If I heard one more comment from the board about how North and Central are equal I was going to puke.

They must finally have someone giving them good advice because they're showing a side of themselves in the newspaper articles I also didn't think they'd ever admit to.

However, I'm ''cautiously optimistic'' also but for different reasons. May is not yet here and I'm sure some board member will piss off the public between now and then with some stupid comment trying to make us believe something that we know isn't true.

My advise to the board is this: Don't blow it now! You might actually have a shot at passing this levy.
Still NO

Hate to be the first NO vote in here but to be honest, I am still in favor of one larger school and expansions to existing schools. They already have the land and schools that can be built on whether laterally or vertically.

As I stated in here another time, I supported the levy for one larger school. I still stand by that. Sorry for the teachers who don't want it but I can't imagine a carefully designed 1,000 - 1,200 student school wouldn't meet the need. I also think that the existing schools could be expanded to 1,000 students and the total cost for all this might be less than what is proposed. The exception might be Pick Elem. So in that case, plan to abandon and sell the property and look the the Sycamore site.
Not An Option

1. Gasoline @ 2.79 per gallon.
2. Home heating costs 2X last year.
3. Food costs up.
4. Car and home insurance increased.
5. Lack of job security.
6. Other taxes increased.

We are driving less, kept our house COLD and shopped for lower cost insurance.

We gave up our ''extra'' pizza last school levy. I gave up my cup of coffee per day the levy before that.

Ya can't get blood from a stone.

I am tapped out right now and don't have the confidence in our economy to make this long term commitment.

Hey, why don't you tighten your belt like our family already has.
