Topic of the Week - really

Sorry I was remiss. There are those days that my employer expects me to participate in what they pay me for.

Topic of the Week

In the Pickerington papers, we have all read that there seems to be a disconnect between elected officials regarding the JEDD and CEDA. One side seems to indicate that the city of Pickerington leaders, Mayor Shaver and some City Council members are willing to allow the Violet Township Trustees to dictate how and when cooperation will occur in this community. On the other side, we find Mayor Shaver and the Violet Township Trustees saying that this is simply another means of furthering the bonds of cooperation between the city and the township.

It could even be perceived that some officials on both sides are disregarding to whom their loyalties should lie. Is this a case of elected officials seeming to ''give away the farm'' (no pun intended) to reach a cooperative agreement or is this a case of two political bodies striving for cooperation at any cost?

What is your perception of how cooperation between the city and township is proceeding?

Could you?

Could you possibly ever pose a question of the week that isn't biased toward your views? You say one side is all those people who oppose the city council and mayor (oh, excuse me, the council members other than Brian and Ted) and the other side which is made up of the mayor and some of the other council members. Hello! There's more to that second side...all the people who voted for and elected those council members and the mayor and support their views. And, not that you want my opinion because it clearly differs from yours, but I think cooperation between the city and the township is very necessary and not threatening to P-town at all.
Take it for what it's worth

Here's the unbiased question in there:

What is your perception of how cooperation between the city and township is proceeding?
Cooperation?

Cooperation is much more than township trustees threatening city officials of 'my way or the highway'. I don't call that cooperation, I call that arrogance.
