Yes, this is late again... but there has not been much in the way of topic fodder lately. However, this morning the following was found in the paper.

Should the Pickerington School Board take notice?
Lancaster Eagle Gazette - June 7, 2006
It's time for school board to resign
To the Editor:
I think it is time someone speak up, demand the resignation of the entire Lancaster City school board, and start fresh with new people. It is obvious to me that the current board, superintendent included, cannot do the job they were hired to do. Some of these people have been on the board as far back as I can remember, maybe even when I was in school in the late '70s. Shutting down North School and Stanbery is one thing, but cramming fifth-graders into the two junior high buildings is pushing it a bit too far. Perhaps if we have a new superintendent, and a new board, then maybe levies and bonds will pass. Then we can have new buildings for our children, and the schools will have the money to work with. How about it Lancaster citizens ... speak up with me, and demand the resignations of the board of education ... we need fresh air in our school system, and we need it now, before our children suffer more then they already have.
