I read the article in the times-Sun and I can't believe the school actually paid for this survey.

I will tell you I was not one of the 407 residents picked at random. If I were I would not have spent the time filling out a 30 question survey. They only ones that did fill out the survey were those zealot parents that want their children in schools of brick and mortar.

That fact that they both agreed to what ever the board puts on the ballot is amazing the board even accepted this report. Do we have board members so obvious to the citizens that they ignore what is right in front of them?

The facts are that they have tried four times now to pass a levy. All have failed.

They have circulated surveys in the past and they also said the issue should pass by 60% and they failed also.

I am not sure running a double your money levy will pass.

What I am waiting for is the board to get all warm and fuzzy and confident with these ''results'' so when the next levy is shoved up their noses in November, maybe they'll do the right thing and quit.

My In Laws got and completed the survey. Their response (as senior citizens) was that they could no longer afford to have the school board take anymore of their money. None of their responses could be interpretted as favorable towards the next levy.

Perhaps they should have told the school board to talk to Keith Smith about the proposed tax breaks for senior citizens he promised while on the campaign trail? Perhaps getting the city of Pickerington on the same page as the Pickerington School Board would be a step in the right direction.

Keith Smith's promises

Keith indeed promised tax breaks to the seniors but hasn't delivered. He is also the strongest proponent of raising the income tax to at least 2%. One of his civic association buddies told me.

He believes this to not be breaking his promises in that seniors are only taxed on earned income.

He also believes in his unparalleled expertise in every subject there is.

Big disappointment. Proof again O?’Brien and Kramer set sail on the wrong ship?…?…
