No, I am not changing my vote
Come on now. Give me a break. No, I do not support a levy that spreads our facilities thinner and further apart. Lew Stemen has mentioned economies of scale a number of times yet he/they don?’t apply the same ideas to facilities. Enough time has passed that the board needs to revisit expansion of existing schools and construction of only one at the Sycamore Creek site to keep the land donation. I won?’t address all that again as you seem to have read my past postings on that subject.
By my ?“threats?” of No votes it was only an attempt to illustrate the flippant attitude of other voters. I think you need to direct your questions and comments to them. They are the kind of people who are holding this district hostage with overcrowding.
If these people were cornered and told ?“OK, we cancelled the drill. Now will you vote Yes??”, they?’d say ?“Not until you change the school colors to Red, White and Blue?” and the politicians would say ?“OK, we did that. Now will you vote Yes??” and they would reply ?“Not until?…?…?” and so on.
They extorted the district on Wednesday. Those are the kind of people you need to address, not me. They are bullies, not me. I am a pragmatist who spent enough years close to the facility trade that I can see the decision to continue to add buildings rather than classrooms is futile. The board refuses to look at other options other than those given by consultants who have a vested financial interest in the construction of more and more buildings.
Did you see this in the Times-Sun?
The Top 5 contributors to the campaign were Donley Homes Inc., $4,000; Petermann LLC, $2,500; Pickerington Education Association, $2,500; M/I Homes Service Corp., $1,250 and Dominion Homes, $1,250.
Tell me that the tail ain?’t still waggin?’ the dog in this community.
