Didn't have the votes
He was told before his decision to retire that he didn't have the votes to renew his contract.
What would you do? Get fired or retire?

Actions speak louder than words
If they're not trying to force him out, why hire a new superintendent in April when his contract goes through the end of July?
Didn't the new superintendent's contract at her old school go through the end of July also?
How many upper administration positions are now open? Did the board force these people out or did they go on their own? Either way, why?
The board keeps telling us we're an ''excellent'' district. How long will we remain ''excellent'' when all the administrators who helped make it ''excellent'' are gone?
Somethings fishy.

Another Boad Member Heard?
Unless you are a Board Member - you would have NO idea if Thiede had enough votes to be renewed.
Dr. Thiede reaches 35 years of service the end of June & can collect full retirement. Some administrators continue to work in some capacity to ''double dip'', I've been at meetings with Bob where he's said he wants more time with his family.
Unless you're ready to state sources & sign your name; what you've stated is just supposition.

Isn't that the beauty of PATA?
Isn't that the beauty of PATA?
Folks have a platform to say anything they want about anything or anybody. No facts are needed, just a healthy grudge. Sit back with a cup of coffee and bash to our hearts content.
None of us are willing to do much more than that so I wouldn't get so upset about postings here. Most of it is just hot air.
