This got buried elsewhere in the threads. I think it makes everything clear.
Reynoldsburg under control?
8-2-2007
My family lives off the soon to be wider Diley. I moved to Pickerington schools because, as a teacher at Reynoldsburg HS, I know first hand what can happen to kids in that district. Fortunately, there was always St. Pius X in town, but that only takes kids to 8th.
We spent plenty of time in staff meetings (usually the ones we call ''Prime Time,'' but there's plenty of wasted effort in meetings after school as well) talking about how RHS is out of control.
There is no control at RHS and maybe we'll have a chance at it now. I'm worried about what will happen to the kids at Central.
Racial issues are a problem at RHS and I don't think Reeves ever played that card. He's just not known for getting anything of merit done. That made him ideal for RHS.
Teachers at RHS get suspended without cause, that's something started with our administration and had never happened before in all my years there. Many teachers have just given up caring about the school and I hope that does not happen at Central.
Ask anyone at RHS. They'll tell you the same thing.
