Fix on P&Z

Fix was on P&Z at the time the design guidelines were passed but he fought tooth and nail to keep those guidelines as sparse as possible. Why?

He didn't want to hurt his relationship with the buiilders, that's why. Those same builders that came to meeting after meeting and protested what they considered poor decisions by P&Z members contacted several at home in order to try and worm their way into an agreement that would be equally beneficial. Most members hung up when the calls came in... perhaps Fix didn't?

Fix not in the loop

It is not the function of P & Z to''create'' ideas and programs. They simply review and make recommendations to the Service committee. The Service committee then considers those recommendations and either acts on them or not. Clearly the ideas of impact fees, residential guidelines and growth management were being driven from the Service committee not the sub-committee P & Z. According to the City Charter only the Mayor and the Council can introduce ordinances and resolutions. Mr. Fix would not have been part of the real decision making here.

The fact is he has accomplished very little being on council because he devides the council and every thing he touches stalls.

Doesn't sound like he's done much of anything, if you ask me. He showed up to meetings and did his homework. Big deal.
