I see in the Dispatch that Pickerington pays 11.86 per month for trash pick up from Waste Management. I pay $77.00 per quarter here in the township. I pay $165.86 more per year in the towmship. Mine gets picked up on Friday,too. How about starting with cooperation on this.

Our trash day is Monday & also live in the Township. Use Local Waste instead of Waste Mgt. Pay $56 per quarter - not as cheap but a better price than you are paying - Saves you `$80 per year. They'll pick up anything. Phone number is 614-409-9375 or 740-756-7156.

The City of Pickerington negotiates a lower rate and gives an exclusive right to Waste Management to pick up the trash in the City. Maybe you should march down to the township office and demand that they get you a lower rate also.

Funny

I talked to a Trustee about that before and heard that choosing your trash hauler in the twp was like gospel. ie. Don't mess with the twp residents ''rights'' to choose their own hauler. Therefore you can get multiple trucks going down the same street causing more damage than necessary and pay more for it instead of negotiating a better rate.
