Summer Sports Camps

Posted in: PATA
I've looked through the school board minutes but can't find the answer to these questions.

When the high school coaches hold their ''voluntary'' summer camps for the high school aged kids -- pick a sport: basketball, football, soccer, volleyballl, etc -- do the coaches pay to use the school facilities?

Do any of the coaches donate the money back to the sport club or the athletic department? This would sure be a great ''fund raiser'' -- much better than some stale sandwich, pizza, or a discount card.

I guess the same question would be asked of the band directors. Do they pay to use the facilities? Do they turn the money back to the school?

Tiger camp

Players (all ages) have to pay a registration fee to attend Tiger football camp. There is a camp for high school and junior high players.

Is that you're asking?
not really

the camps are using the school facilities and equipment, and charging the kids to do so. the taxpayers paid for those facilites and the maintenance. maybe not all of the equipment as the booster clubs will buy pieces, but certainly the facilities.

I'm wondering if the schools are charging the coaches to use those facilities and equipment, and if any of the money that the kids (parents) are paying goes back to the school or straight to the coaches pocket?
Field House

The field house was built with 100% of Tiger booster club money.
