Density is the Issue, Isn't It?

Spartacus,

I'm not sure of your point, but I know your information is inaccurate.

I am still very much a part of the new Northeast Fairfield County Republican Club and simply have not been able to attend the last two meetings due to conflicts with school events for two of my sons. I enjoy the club and its members.

I supported no City of Pickerington candidates this past November. I don't live in the City.

I am still puzzled by your comments. It seems like you would rather criticize people than focus on issues. Stay focused on the density issue and keep personalities out of it ... and change will come.

By YOUR actions -- including not offering your name -- YOU, Spartacus, slow change down in our community. People who are committed to slowing down residential growth and attracting quality commercial development in our community WOULD NOT BE AFRAID TO SIGN their names to those noble efforts. Help the effort to lower housing density in our community ... and stop hurting it, Spartacus!!

R-2

Spartacus,

I am glad your posted your thoughts twice. It gives me another opportunity to respond.

Spartacus, stop helping the massive growth in our schools. Stand up and just say R-2 to both the Township and the City. R-2. R-2. R-2. R-2. R-2. R-2. Stay focused on the issue and stay away from call people evil or Satan.

Get involved. Sign your name to PATA postings. Send letters to the editor of the newspapers. Circulate petitions. Run for City Council or Township Trustee.

I believe that anyone who runs only a R-2 issue in the next election will win. Maybe PATA ought to consider becoming a political action committee with the sole purpose of advocating R-2 throughout the school district -- in both the City of Pickerington and Violet Township.

R-2. R-2. R-2. R-2 before it is too late.

Woodstream and Wellington Park

It appears my comments about R-2 density are generating some discussions among some of our political leaders.

It has been brought to my attention that Wellington Park and Woodstream in the unincorporated part of Violet Township will have housing density of 2.92. According to information submitted to Regional Planning Commission, there will be 214 lots on 73.36 acres in Woodstream.

I'm sorry, but I could not find anything about Woodstream on PATA homepages. Are we only concerned about housing density (and for that matter apartments) in the City of Pickerington and not Violet Township?

It might be helpful for PATA to put on their homepage a comprehensive list of all subdivisions in the Pickerington Local School District, their acreage, the number of homes, the housing density, and the zoning unit (City of Pickerington, Violet Township, City of Columbus, etc). I'm sure the information is readily available, and would be most useful in next year's political campaigns. Thanks.

I hope not

Lordy, I hope they're not just after the city. the township has some serious issues that need addressed too. Have you seen the flooding in the township areas the last few days?
