Does anyone know if the time and location of the ''Town Meeting'' has been set?
An article in This Week in Pick (10/10/02) reported that Mr. Wright attended the Township Trustee meeting on 10/02/02 and he called for a ''Town Meeting'' He hoped to set a time and place for this meeting within a week.
I am not trying to be pushy but it has been eight(8) days since Mr. Wright called for the meeting and I am wondering if there has been any effort to make it happen.
Thanks,
Tim

meeting??
This the same Bill that is on council? Didn't he and his idiot mayor cancel them meetings the last time. I say his mayor because I didn't vote for him and he has done nothing for me. He represents the builders not the citizens.
Besides is your phone broke? Call city hall 837-3974. If fact why doesn't everyone call City Hall and ask? Help out Timmy Boy. Tim I hope I'm still friend. Just a little ribbing.
First of all, Bill Wright is the only councilman left (with the exception of David Shaver) that hasn't made a complete fool (note I didn't say ass)of himself in the paper and other sources. The fact is if Bill and his people have a town meeting the town won't be invited. The reason for that is that they would be required to defend their stupid votes and developement policies. Their collective position is indefensable with liberty for all!!!!!!! wow what's in my coffee?

No date yet.......
My understanding is that there is no set date yet but it is being worked on.
I think if City Council will work on a growth plan with the School Board, Township & concerned members of the community everyone will win. Having positive dialog about real concerns can only bring about positive changes - Isn't that what we want ??
I think the actions of the next few weeks will speak much louder than any words & both the City & Township will need to come to the table with open minds & be ready to make hard decisions that will put our schools in a better place over the next 5 years.
It's certainly possible - if you are reading this & have doubts I would suggest you come to the next City Council meeting & express your concerns & hopes for the next few months/years.
No posting on this website will solve the problems we face - it takes concerned, responsible & active community members to put growth back where it belongs in the hands of the voters. As a mother of two boys, I don't think a ''zealous pursuit'' of a better enviroment for them & the other children in the school district is a bad thing & I would not expect anything less of our City Council, School Board & Township.
Come to the City Council Meeting at 100 Lockville Road on October 15th at 7:30pm and help to make a difference. If you can't make it you can send a letter & ask that it be read at the meeting & entered into the Council's minutes.

Hope this isn't just PR
I hope the town meeting is not just another opportunity for city council '' PR face time'' before the 2003 election, or a recall as I strongly suspect. The last series of meetings turned into a power struggle to control the agenda of the community with the city making it a ''merger pusher'' format at the end. Nothing was accopmplished although good ideas were put on the floor.
I have no interest in attending another waste of time only to see council people appear to embrace a cooperation agenda initially, and then walk out and require a lawyer to be present and a courtroom complete with judge to be the venue for any future dialogue with CANAL or Violet Township.
Lets have the meeting after the recall.
