???¡ In the first quarter of 2002 the average sales price of a new home in Pickerington was $200,000. There were approximately 300 single-family building permits issued for 2002. Thus, last year the residential building industry generated $63 million dollars in economic activity from home building in Pickerington. The proposed moratorium would eliminate at least $40 million in economic activity from being generated in Pickerington on an annual basis.

These workers buy food, gas, and other goods in the City and pay the City income tax of 1%. Overall, subcontractors working in Pickerington paid $176,000 in City income taxes for a 6% total contribution.
